Imagine a room buzzing with youthful energy, where the experts on stage aren’t seasoned professionals, but passionate young voices aged 11 to 18. That was the scene at the Queensland Family and Children Commission’s (QFCC) inaugural Youth Summit 2025.
The QFCC had a vision: to give Queensland’s youth a platform to speak their minds on issues that mattered to them. No stuffy conference halls or dry lectures – they wanted an event that truly captured the spirit of Queensland Youth Week. Challenge accepted!
MB Squared got to work, collaborating with the QFCC to design an event that was as dynamic and engaging as the young people it celebrated. Think vibrant spaces, interactive workshops, and a tech setup that seamlessly connected everyone in the room.
The result? Over 200 attendees were captivated by 38 young speakers who fearlessly shared their perspectives on everything from mental health to education. We’re talking goosebump-inducing speeches and thought-provoking discussions that left everyone feeling inspired and empowered.
But the impact went beyond those two days in Brisbane. The summit sparked ongoing conversations, forged connections between youth and key decision-makers, and ultimately contributed to a brighter future for Queensland’s young people.
This wasn’t just another conference. It was a youth-led movement, a testament to the power of young voices to drive real change. By putting young people at the forefront, the QFCC and MB Squared created an event that was truly authentic and impactful.
From the initial brainstorming sessions to the final standing ovation, MB Squared was there every step of the way. We designed the event experience, managed the logistics, and even built a custom tech stack to keep everything running smoothly. But most importantly, we provided unwavering support to the young speakers, ensuring they had the confidence and resources to shine on stage.
The QFCC Youth Summit 2025 was a resounding success, proving that when you give young people a platform, incredible things can happen. And for MB Squared, it was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring event.
